Pittsford, NY - Mrs. Phoebe Ann Parkhurst (Bridgman) Scholl, born on August 14, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Charlotte and the late Ralph, passed away at age 89 on May 10, 2018 in Mendon, New York. After graduating from Antioch College with a master's degree in social work she worked as a professional Girl Scout in Washington D.C. She was a dedicated wife, and loving mother. Phoebe was a volunteer in the Rochester Art Gallery, the Unitarian Universalist churches, Pittsford public schools, The Girl Scouts, various exchange student associations, the Association for the Blind, various local community needs and most recently a knitter for charity. She was also a musician and loved early classical music. She played the viola, recorders and the viola de gamba.
Phoebe was married to the late George. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen. Phoebe is survived by her son, Craig (Rebecca); daughters, Ellen and Mary; sister, Betsy; grandchildren, JR, Tyler, Keller, Jackie, and Joe; and nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Phoebe valued family above all and is well-known for her amazing homemade cookies. Phoebe's life was supported by the amazing staff at both Pluta Cancer Center and Benincasa, the comfort care home in Mendon, NY.
