Obituary of Elaine Evans Rushnell
Elaine “Tiny” Evans Rushnell passed away with family at her side on April 10, 2019. Elaine is survived by her daughters Robin (Dave) Taney and Hilary (Andrew) Kitzman; sister, Katherine Krusie; brother, Constantine Evans; nephew Christopher (Vicki) Krusie; niece, Kimberly (Roy) Dickerson, and grandchildren, Taylor Lesser and Justice Taney.
Born on April 14, 1939, Elaine was the tiniest baby in the hospital nursery, so the nurses nicknamed her “Tiny,” and she was affectionately called that throughout her life.
Tiny was a gourmet cook, an artist, and an accomplished writer. She loved beautiful music and attended many performances by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as shows in which her son-in-law, Dave, a professional drummer with Nik and the Nice Guys and Josie Waverly Band, played.
She also loved learning, whether taking tap dancing or salsa dancing lessons or watching a cooking show on PBS.
Tiny was loved by many and will be missed.
Donations can be made in her memory to Aurora House of Western Monroe County, LLC, 2495 South Union Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 or https://www.pbs.org/
